Abstract

1,012,631. Agricultural implements. SOUTH AFRICAN FARM IMPLEMENT MANUFACTURERS Ltd. Aug. 1, 1962 [Aug. 23, 1961], No. 30364/61. Heading A1B. A harrow comprising a front and rear gang of discs 26, 28 arranged to be attached to a tractor hitch linkage 10, 11 is so constructed that when the harrow is raised the gangs are caused to pivot forwards into compacted positions. As shown an 'A' frame 12 is pivoted to a beam 20 on which is pivoted a frame 21 carrying the front gang 26, the rear gang 28 being carried by a frame 22 pivoted on the frame 21. A twoarmed lever 34, 35 is pivoted on the frame 21 and is attached by links 41, 37 to the frames 20, 22 respectively. The lever 35 is attached by a link 40 to the upper part of the 'A'-frame 12.
