1,010,832. Clamp fastenings. AEROQUIP A.G. Dec. 3, 1962 [Feb. 15, 1962], No. 45673/62. Heading E2B. A clamp comprises a pair of identical clamping elements 10, 12 each being longitudinally bowed to a substantially semi-circular form and having a U-shaped cross section with the web of the U being outermost, a first and second end portion 18, 20 of each clamping element being bent outwardly and having a U-shaped cross section with parallel leg portions normal to the web portion thereof, the leg portions of the first end portion being spaced apart sufficiently to accommodate the leg portions of the second end portion of the other calmping elements of the pair, fastening means 32, 34 being provided to secure the elements to one another. As shown the base portions of the end portion are parallel but in a modification, the base portions are inclined to each other so that the free edges are furthest apart.
