Abstract

1,010,278. Feeding nut blanks. SLATER TANGENT Ltd. May 31, 1963, No. 21794/63. Heading B8S. Nut blanks are fed into hopper 8 and are agitated therein by feeder bar 22 reciprocated by hydraulic motor 29 (not shown) along a groove 11 formed in the side of the hopper so that the nuts fall down and through longitudinal channel 19 and move leftwards to be discharged down shoot 33. Feeder bar 22 is formed with projections 23, 24 and 25 and the hopper is mounted in two parts with a narrow slot therebetween through which waste swarf may be discharged from the hopper.
