Abstract

1,008,236. Recording television signals. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 6, 1964 [April 9, 1963], No. 14012/64. Heading G5R. To avoid making a D.C. connection to the chassis of a television receiver to record the signals, capacitative couplings 5, 5A are made to the anode of the final I.F. stage and to the chassis respectively, Fig. 1, and the modulated signal, which contains no D.C. component amplified and detected at a later stage 1. As an alternative to the lumped capacitors 5, 5A, a double concentric screening can may be slipped over the I.F. amplifier valve 8, the inner shell 9 being coupled capacitatively to the valve anode and insulated from the outer shell 11, which is connected inside the receiver to its chassis, isolation of the earthy conductor of the output lead 13 being achieved by an I.F. transformer 12.
