A microwave frequency changer comprises a waveguide 1 having a coupling post 3, adjacent and parallel to one of the narrow sides, feeding a crystal mixer 5 and a coaxial connector 8. In a microwave radio or radar receiver, a signal at the intermediate frequency, injected at 8 will beat with the output of the local oscillator (not shown) at the mixer 5 giving a test signal at the transmitter frequency. A microwave filter comprising a lossy iron dust core 11 and an enlarged centre conductor 9 is included.
