Abstract

1,005,611. Driving external machines on tractors. VYZKUMMY USTAV ZEMEDELSKYCH STROUJU. March 25, 1963 [March 30, 1962], No. 11762/63. Heading B7H. [Also in Division A1] The reciprocating cutter 22 of a mowing bar 21 mounted on a tractor is driven by a rotary hydraulic motor 23 supplied with pressure fluid by the hydraulic pump of the tractor. The hydraulic motor 23 is controlled manually by a slide valve 32 and preferably the outlet from the pump passes through a second manually-controlled valve 34, Fig. 7, which directs it to either reservoir 30 or ram 38 which may tilt or lift the mower. The axis of the flywheel 24, which is driven by the motor 23 and drives the mower cutter 22 through a crank mechanism, passes through the axis 26 of the cutter 22. In an alternative construction (Fig. 3, not shown), the axis of the motor and flywheel are horizontal. In both constructions the flywheel axis lies in the vertical plane through the longitudinal axis of the shoe 25.
