Abstract

986,639. Driving tractor implements. MASSEY-FERGUSON (UNITED KINGDOM) Ltd. Aug. 31, 1962 [Sept. 2, 1961], No. 31632/61. Heading B7H. A tractor comprises an hydraulic pump 11 driven from the tractor engine and supplying fluid through a conduit 22 to a motor 19 mounted on a boom 17 pivoted at 12 to a vertical post 13 attached to the tractor frame. The boom may be raised and lowered by a ram 15 operated from the tractor hydraulic system. An implement, e.g. a hedge cutter, is driven by the motor 19 and a mechanical linkage 24, 25, 26 may be provided to maintain the implement at a constant position relatively to the boom, predetermined by securing the link 26 to a bracket 27 by means of a bolt 28 and an arcuate slot 29. The reservoir for the hydraulic fluid is located within the boom and a return conduit 23 is provided.
