Abstract

1,003,968. Teat-cup liners. R. J. FULLWOOD & BLAND Ltd. Jan. 15, 1964 [May 17, 1963], No. 19823/63. Heading AlM. A teat-cup liner has a tubular body portion 2 and an enlarged hood portion 1 provided with resilient moulded flaps 9 arranged at intervals around the mouth of the liner and serving to grip the cow's teat. Indents 10 on the flaps constitute suckers whereby the gripping capacity of the flaps is increased. The liner may be formed with shoulders 5 which serve to seal off the space between the body portion 2 and an outer rigid shell or be formed with an annular recess to receive the shell. The body portion 2 is of flattened cross-section and the liner is formed of synthetic rubber.
