Abstract

1,003,183. Resiliently mounted adjustable seats. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. May 13, 1964 [May 23, 1963], No. 20556/63. Headings A4J and A4U. A vehicle seat carrier 13 resiliently mounted on vertical walls 7, 9 of a box 1 by pivotally mounted links 3, 5, is biased to a raised position by adjustable springs 35, 36, and maintained in the same angular position relative to the vehicle floor by the ends of a rod 21 on the carrier 13 engaging guide slots 23 in the walls 7, 9. Pivotal movement of the links 3, 5 against the bias of the springs 35, 36 is damped by a shock absorber 45. The seat carrier 13 is vertically adjustable by rods 51 engaging one of several slots 50 formed in a member 49, which member is slidably mounted on channels 53.
