Abstract

1,002,934. Preparation of paper pulp. J. PAR, V. HNETKORSKY, K. DRDA, and Z. LIBNAR. June 22, 1964 [Oct. 4, 1963], No. 25736/64. Heading D2A. In the preparation of pulp from waste paper initial coarse pulping and hydration is followed by storing the pulp at a density of 10-22% in a storage tank (not shown) in which hydration and swelling takes place; the stock is then diluted to a density of 0. 5 to 5% and passed from a distribution chamber via pipes to nozzles 6 mounted on the cover of a loosening chamber 4; the latter includes a vibrator 3 generating mechanical oscillations in the frequency range 1. 5 to 45 Kc/s and tapered deflections 10 which divert the jets of stock into the region of maximum vibration. The stock is subsequently screened and thickened.
