Abstract

Apparatus for investigating a patients balance comprises a platform mounted on springs for free movement having a strain gauge, or similar element, connected to each corner so that movements of the platform are translated into electrical outputs from the gauges. These outputs are, in turn, passed to indicating or recording equipment which may, if desired, incorporate a biased relay so that an indication is received only if the movements exceed a predetermined minimum value.
