1,002,136. Centrifugal separators. W. NEUMANN. July 8, 1964 [July 9, 1963], No. 28236/64. Heading B2P. A centrifuge for separating dust from dustladen air comprises a housing 1 having whirlproducing vanes 2, 3 for the admission of the dust-laden air and a dust-suction duct 4 opentangentially into the housing between the vanes 2 and 3. In operation, two vortices are formed in the housing and the dust separated collects in a common neutral zone at the height of the suction duct 4 while the purified air is removed through pipes 5, 6.
