Abstract
1,001,317. Thermal regenerators. SILIKAUND SCHAMOTTEFABRIKEN MARTIN & PAGENSTECHER A.G. June 24, 1963 [July 12, 1962], No. 25011/63. Heading F4K. A regenerative air heating stove comprises a heating stack 1; a combustion chamber 2 of a different diameter arranged alongside the said heating stack; and a common dome in which the middle part 8 is in the form of part of a cylinder and the ends 6 and 7 are identical in shape, e.g. quarter spheres. In the form shown the top of the heating stack which contains the regenerator brick work 3 tapers inwardly to a conical form 4, and the top of the combustion chamber tapers outwardly to a conical form 5 such that the heads 12 and 13 fit into identical openings 10 and 11 in the base of the dome, the openings being constructed to present shouldered parts 14, 15 to the heads, and leaving a gap 16 to allow for thermal movement of the linings.
