Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:1001097/C2/1> wherein Ar is a phenyl, halophenyl, tolyl methoxyphenyl, trifluoromethylphenyl or pyridyl radical, m is 0 or 1 and R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical and their pharmaceutically acceptable non-toxic acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts and the preparation thereof by reacting a compound of the general formula <FORM:1001097/C2/2> with one of the general formula <FORM:1001097/C2/3> or a compound equivalent thereto which can be converted into the free carbonyl compound in the reaction mixture. Suitable equivalent compounds are the nitrones.
