Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé d’hydrolyse alcaline de la 5-(2-méthylmercaptoéthyl)hydantoïne de formule (1) ou de son équivalent sélénié, la 5-(2-méthylsélénoéthyl)hydantoïne, en un sel de méthionine ou un sel de sélénométhionine, respectivement, ledit procédé étant conduit en milieu aqueux basique, dans une colonne de strippage réactif à garnissage, ainsi qu’un procédé de fabrication de la méthionine et de la sélénométhionine le mettant en œuvre.
