Une telle traverse ne présente généralement pas un comportement satisfaisant en cas de choc contre le véhicule automobile, du fait que la fixation du jambage ne résiste généralement pas de manière suffisante à l'effort du choc. L'invention a notamment pour but de remédier à cet inconvénient, en fournissant une traverse de tableau de bord présentant un comportement satisfaisant en cas d'impact. A cet effet, l'invention a notamment pour objet une traverse de tableau de bord de véhicule automobile, s'étendant le long d'un axe longitudinal entre une première extrémité latérale, comprenant des moyens de fixation destinés à être fixés à un montant latéral avant du véhicule automobile, et une seconde extrémité latérale, comportant un premier jambage destiné à être fixé à un plancher du véhicule automobile, caractérisé en ce que la traverse comporte un second jambage destiné à être fixé au plancher du véhicule automobile, agencé entre la première extrémité latérale et la seconde extrémité latérale dans la direction de l'axe longitudinal. Le second jambage permet de former un appui supplémentaire pour la traverse, si bien que cette traverse est mieux stabilisée et ainsi apte à présenter le comportement requis pour une traverse de tableau de bord en cas de choc du véhicule automobile. Une traverse selon l'invention peut comporter en outre l'une ou plusieurs des caractéristiques suivantes, prises seules ou selon toutes les combinaisons techniquement possibles : - le second jambage est décalé angulairement par rapport au premier jambage autour de l'axe longitudinal, de manière à former un angle non nul avec ce premier jambage ; - les premier et second jambages sont agencés de sorte que, lorsque la traverse est rapportée sur un véhicule automobile, l'un des premier et second jambages s'étend vers l'avant du véhicule automobile, alors que l'autre des premier et second jambages s'étend vers l'arrière du véhicule automobile ; - les premier et second jambages sont agencés de sorte que, lorsque la traverse est rapportée sur un véhicule automobile, le premier jambage s'étend vers l'avant du véhicule automobile, et le second jambage s'étend vers l'arrière du véhicule automobile ; - le second jambage est décalé par rapport au premier jambage le long de l'axe longitudinal, de manière à définir une distance non nulle entre ces premier et second jambages ; - le premier jambage comporte des premiers moyens de fixation sur le plancher du véhicule, et le second jambage comporte des seconds moyens de fixation sur le plancher du véhicule, les premiers et seconds moyens de fixation étant agencés de façon à se trouver dans un même plan horizontal lorsque la traverse est rapportée sur un véhicule automobile ; et - le premier jambage comporte un élément de liaison avec un tablier du véhicule automobile. L'invention concerne également un tableau de bord de véhicule automobile, du type comportant une partie dégagée côté passager, comprenant une traverse telle que définie précédemment. L'invention concerne enfin un véhicule automobile comprenant : - une traverse telle que définie précédemment, - au moins un montant latéral avant, auquel est fixé la première extrémité latérale de la traverse, et - un plancher, auquel sont fixés les premier et second jambages. Avantageusement, le plancher comporte un tunnel central, notamment un tunnel de transmission, les premier et second jambages étant fixés sur ce tunnel. L'invention sera mieux comprise à la lecture de la description qui va suivre, donnée uniquement à titre d'exemple et faite en se référant aux figures annexées, parmi lesquelles : - la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une traverse de tableau de bord selon un exemple de mode de réalisation de l'invention ; - la figure 2 est une vue de profil de la traverse de la figure 1. On a représenté sur les figures une traverse 10 de tableau de bord de véhicule automobile. On rappelle qu'un tunnel central est une partie centrale du plancher de l'habitacle du véhicule, généralement bombée de façon à rigidifier le plancher et/ou à laisser libre, sous ce plancher, un canal pour le passage d'une ligne d'échappement ou d'un arbre de transmission du véhicule automobile, auquel cas le tunnel est aussi nommé « tunnel de transmission ». De manière optionnelle, le premier jambage 14 présente une barre de fixation 15 sur un tablier du véhicule automobile. Cet élément de liaison 15 permet d'augmenter non seulement la résistance de la traverse 10 en cas de choc, mais aussi d'augmenter la rigidité du tableau de bord fixé sur cet élément de liaison 15 ou sur le premier jambage 14, afin d'améliorer la qualité perçue pour le passager. De manière classique, la traverse 10 comporte également des premiers 16 et seconds 18 de bras de fixation sur une traverse inférieure de baie du véhicule automobile. On rappelle qu'une traverse inférieure de baie est une traverse s'étendant entre les montants latéraux avant du véhicule automobile, en avant de la traverse 10 de tableau de bord, à proximité d'une extrémité inférieure d'un pare-brise du véhicule automobile. Par exemple, le premier bras de fixation est agencé à la seconde extrémité 10B de la traverse 10, et le second bras de fixation est agencé entre les premières 10A et secondes 10B extrémités de la traverse 10, au niveau d'une colonne de direction du véhicule automobile. De même, le second jambage 20 comporte des seconds moyens de fixation 20A comprenant également un orifice pour le passage d'une vis. De préférence, les orifices des premiers 14A et seconds 20A moyens de fixation sont prévus dans un même plan horizontal H perpendiculaires au plan vertical P. A cet effet, le second jambage 20 présente par exemple une longueur supérieure à celle du premier jambage 14, comme cela est représenté sur la figure 2.
