Abstract

  The present invention relates to devices for packaging and applying a product, especially a cosmetic product, including care.

  The French patent application FR 2 833 245 describes an applicator assembly of a product comprising an applicator surrounding all or part of a product in the form of a stick mounted on a movable product element relative to the applicator.

  The French patent application FR 2 823 726 describes an assembly for the packaging and the application of a product comprising an applicator member carried by a closure element of a container, the latter comprising a housing that can accommodate the element. when the container is closed. In such a device, the applicator element is isolated from the ambient air when the container is closed.

  French patent application FR 2 588 457 describes a make-up removal device comprising a reservoir and an applicator element through which a central tube passes. US Patent 4,674,903 discloses a similar device.

  European Patent Application EP 1 382 541 A1 describes a packaging and application device comprising a container provided with a first application element and a closure member of this container that can contain a second application element. The latter is for example contained in a housing that can be closed by an articulated lid.

  The invention aims to further improve the devices for packaging and application of a product.

  According to one of its aspects, the subject of the present invention is a device for packaging and applying a product, in particular a product intended to be applied to the skin, the mucous membranes or the nails, comprising: a container containing a reserve of the product, - a first product-refillable applicator element, which can be loaded with product from the container, - a second applicator element which can be separated from the container, configured to come into contact with the region to be treated and for example to spread or blur the product from the first applicator element, this second applicator element at least partially surrounding the first applicator element (46), at least when the second applicator element (48) is integral with the container (2). The first and second applicator elements 28 are for example arranged concentrically, at least when the second applicator element is secured to the container.

  In the description and the claims, the expression first application element must be understood in a broad sense and includes an element that may or may not come into contact with the region to be treated during the application of the product. This can thus be direct or indirect, possibly taking place via the second application element.

  Thanks to the invention, the user can, with the second application element, retouch a makeup without fear of bringing an excess of product. The fact that the second applicator element at least partially surrounds the first, at least when the second applicator element is integral with the container, makes it possible to gain compactness.

  The product can be fluid or powdery, for example being a foundation.

  In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second application element communicates with the ambient air when the container is closed.

  The container may comprise at least one passage allowing the second applicator element to communicate with the ambient air when the container is closed. The container may for example comprise a perforated wall at least partially surrounding the second applicator element when the container is closed.

  Thus, the second application element can dry between uses, which limits the risks of microbiological development and may allow for example to reduce the amount of preservatives in the product or biocidal agents incorporated in the second application element, including when it comprises a cellular material and / or is porous. This also allows for better smearing, being generally easier to blend with a dry application element than with a full application element.

  In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the second applicator element is integral with a closure member of the container. This closure member may be configured to cooperate with the container to prevent communication between the second application member and the product supply when the container is closed.

  In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the first and second application elements are integral during use. For example, the second application element at least partially surrounds the first application element.

  The second application element may be without contact with the first application element.

  The second applicator element may be compressible and comprise, for example, a foam, in particular a foam that is hollowed out centrally, so as to allow, for example, at least partially to accommodate the first application element in the central recess.

  In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the container comprises a housing receiving the second applicator element when the container is closed. This dwelling can communicate with the product pool.

  The packaging and application device 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a container 2 and an applicator 3 that can be separated from the container 2 during use.

  The container 2 comprises, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 2 and 3, a lower part 5 and an upper part 6, assembled on the lower part 5.

  In the example under consideration, the lower part 5 is constituted by a bottle comprising a neck 8 of axis X. The upper part 6 comprises a mounting skirt 10 provided with teeth 11 which snap onto a bead 12 of the neck 8 and an annular sealing lip 13 applied on the radially inner surface of the neck 8. The mounting skirt 10 and the sealing lip 13 are connected superiorly to a transverse wall 14.

  The upper portion 6 comprises a perforated wall 16 which is connected below the transverse wall 14 at the periphery thereof. This perforated wall 16 is extended further by a threaded portion 18. A trim skirt 19 is connected superiorly to the threaded portion 18, by material bridges 20, and abuts against a shoulder 22 of the bottle 5.

  The upper part 6 further comprises a chimney 24 of axis X which is connected below the transverse wall 14 and defines with the perforated wall 16 a housing 26 which can communicate with the ambient air along a path through the openings 28 of the perforated wall 16, as can be seen in Figure 4 and by the existing gaps between the material bridges 20 connecting the threaded portion 18 to the dressing skirt 19.

  The chimney 24 defines a housing delimited below by a bottom wall 30, concave upwards, which extends inside the chimney 24, the wall 30 being traversed at its center by an orifice 31 opening into an interior space. 32 of the container, intended to receive the product.

  The applicator 3 comprises, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 2 and 3, a gripping portion 45, a first application element 46 and a second application element 48 and a part 47 of these elements.   In the example considered, the support piece 47 comprises a center stack 50 of axis Y coinciding with the axis X when the applicator 3 is in place on the container 2.

  The chimney 50 carries an annular sealing lip 51 which bears against the inner surface of the chimney 24 when the receptacle 2 is closed, as can be seen in FIG. 3, and a holding portion 52 of the first application element 46, for example comprising a relief 53 engaged in a corresponding groove 54 of this first applicator element 46.

  The relief 53 is for example constituted by an annular bead forming radially inwardly projecting at the lower end of the holding portion 52. The latter also comprises a transverse wall 56 which closes the housing 57 in which is engaged superiorly the first element of application 46.

  The support piece 47 has a tubular skirt 60 of Y axis which defines with the chimney 50 and around it an annular groove in which the second applicator element 48 is received superiorly. In the example of FIG. 3 , the latter comprises a block of foam hollowed out internally and fixed in the bottom of the aforementioned groove by a layer of adhesive 65.

  In the variant embodiment of FIGS. 5 to 8, the tubular skirt 60 comprises, substantially at mid-height, teeth 68 which engage in an annular groove 74 of the second applicator element 48. It may be noticed on examination Figures 7 and 8 that openings 70 can then be provided on the upper wall 71 of the support piece 47 to allow the molding of these teeth 68.

  The support piece 47 has a radially outer skirt 72 which is threaded internally and which makes it possible to screw the applicator 3 onto the container 2.

  The gripping portion 45 can be fixed on the support piece 47 in different ways, for example on the skirt 72 by snap-fastening as is the case in the examples considered, again by gluing or differently.

  The portion of the second applicator element 48 that extends out of the tubular skirt 60 has a generally rounded lateral face 75, convex towards the outside, and a front face 76 substantially flat and perpendicular to the Y axis, annular shape.

  The first applicator element 46 has an outer face 80 which is generally convex downwards in the example under consideration, with cavities 81 making it possible to retain the product. This face 80 is defined superiorly by a flexible annular lip 82 directed upwards.

  When the applicator 3 is separated from the container 2, and in the absence of application on the region to be treated, the face 80 is at a non-zero distance d from the plane of the end face 76. Thus, when the use, in the absence of compression of the second application element 48, the first application element 46 remains behind the treated region.

  To use device 1, the user can proceed as follows.

  First, it can take the product contained in the interior space 32 of the container 2 with the first applicator element 46, or by inverting the container so that the product flows by gravity through the orifice 31 of the bottom wall 30 and reaches the first applicator element 46, either by shaking the container.

  The user can then separate the applicator 3 from the container 2, a certain quantity of product being present on the first applicator element 46, in particular in the cavities 81.

  Then the user can bring the applicator 3 into contact with the region to be treated, for example the skin of the face or the body, and compress the second applicator element 48 sufficiently to allow the first applicator element 46 to deposit the produced on the region to be treated.

  Then, the user can use the second application element 48 to spread the product thus deposited and / or to fade it, exerting a sufficiently low pressure on the applicator 3 so that only the second application element 48 comes in contact with the area to be treated.

  The embodiment variant shown in FIGS. 9 to 12 differs from the embodiment of FIG. 3 in the shape of the upper part 6 of the container, the covering skirt 19 being connected superiorly to the transverse wall 14 and the perforated wall. 2873551 10 16 extending in the extension of the dressing skirt 19, between this and the threaded portion 18.

  The openings 28 open on the one hand on the outside and on the other hand directly opposite the second applicator element 48.

  In at least one plane perpendicular to the Y axis, the openings 28 may for example occupy at least a quarter of the total circumference of the perforated wall 16, or at least half.

  The embodiment of FIGS. 13 and 14 differs from the examples which have just been described by the manner in which the product is taken from the receptacle 2 to charge the first applicator element 46.

  The upper part 6 of the container 2 comprises in this example a dip tube 90 which goes down practically to the bottom of the bottle 5 and is connected by a flared wall 91 to the chimney 24, in place of the bottom wall 30.

  The chimney 24 differs from that shown in FIG. 11 by the shape of its upper part, which is thinned in the example of FIG. 14, forming an annular surface 93 extending radially recessed and against which the sealing lip 51 of the applicator 3 can be applied when the latter is in place on the container.

  The shape of the holding part 52 is also different, as is that of the first applicator element 46. The latter has a bottom face 95 which is convex downwards, and at its periphery a double sealing lip 96, presenting an outwardly concave arcuate shape, applying at its upper and lower edges against the radially inner surface of the chimney 24, above the flared wall 91.

  The attachment of the first applicator element 46 on the holding part 52 is done for example by means of one or more reliefs 97 carried by the upper part of the sealing lip 96.

  The first application element 46 behaves, thanks to the presence of the sealing lip 96, as a piston in the housing formed inside the chimney 24, so that when the applicator 3 is unscrewed, as illustrated in Figures 15 and 16, the product tends to be sucked into the chimney 24 by the rise of the first applicator element 46, and the latter can be loaded with product P when it is completely separated from the container 2 , as shown in Figure 17, without it was necessary to shake it or return it.

  In the example of FIGS. 18 and 19, the upper part 6 of the receptacle comprises a dip tube 100 which extends substantially to the bottom of the bottle 5 and which is connected superiorly to a tip 101 carried by the transverse wall 14. .

  The tip 101 has an inside diameter adapted to that of the first applicator element 46, formed by a tube in this example. This tube comprises an inner channel 103 which opens out into a cavity 104 of variable volume, formed between the support piece 47 and a flexible wall 106 of curved shape, on which the user can press, this flexible wall 106 projecting into the bottom of a recess 108 of the top of the gripping portion 45.

  In the example considered, the flexible wall 106 is fixed on the transverse wall 71 of the support piece 47 by clamping a peripheral portion 110 provided with an annular groove 111 between the gripping portion 45 and the support piece 47 , the latter having a first annular rib 112 engaging in the groove 111. This is formed between two ribs, one of which is engaged in a corresponding groove 113 formed between the aforementioned rib 112 and a second rib 114, concentric to the first.

  In this example, the first applicator element 46 is molded integrally with the support part 47.

  When the applicator 3 is in place on the container 2, the first applicator element 46 is engaged in the end piece 101 in a substantially watertight manner, for example up to substantially halfway up the latter.

  When the user presses the flexible wall 106 and releases it, it can create a depression in the channel 103 and cause the rise of product in it.

  Given the lengths of the tip 101 and the first applicator element 46 which overlap, the applicator 3 does not have to be completely fixed on the container 2 so that the user can engage sufficiently tightly the first application member 46 in the tip 101 to be able to suck the product.

  The user can, once the applicator 3 separated from the container, press the flexible wall 106 so as to cause the product to exit the first applicator element 46 and deposit it on the second applicator element 48 and then proceed applying the product with the second application element 48.

  Alternatively, once the channel 103 at least partially filled with product, the user can deposit it directly on the region to be treated, compressing the second application element 48 to bring the end of the first element of 46 application in contact with the treated region, then pressing the flexible wall 106 to cause the expulsion of the product on the treated region.

  Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described.

  In particular, the different embodiments can be combined with each other and, for example, the second applicator element 48 may be attached to the applicator 3, in particular with teeth 68 as illustrated in FIG. 20.

  The first application element and the upper part of the container can be made even differently, depending for example on the nature of the product and the region to be treated.

  The upper and lower parts of the container can be made in one piece or by assembling several parts.

  The first applicator element 46 may also be carried on the receptacle 2, as illustrated in FIG. 21, the applicator 3 having in this case only the second applicator element 48. The applicator element 46 comprises by for example a porous material supplied by the interior space of the container containing the product.

  When the applicator 3 is in place on the container, the first applicator element 46 is housed in the recess of the second applicator element.
