Abstract

The package has a flexible tubular sheath (2) made of plastic material and integrated in the package by gluing on to wall. The sheath is closed by a seam at one end and opened at another end. The open end has a pre-cut line (15) parallel to its free edge. The pre-cut line permits to detach a sheath portion (16) from the open end, which is used as a closing link after filling the sheath with contents e.g. hospital waste. An independent claim is also included for the use of a package for the transport of hospital waste.

Description

PACKAGING IN A SEMI-RIGID MATERIAL EQUIPPED WITH

  THE INTERIOR OF A PLASTIC SHEATH.

  The present invention relates to a packaging made of a semirigid material, such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, equipped inside with a plastic sheath.

  For many years, packaging in a semirigid material, equipped inside one or more films of a plastic material, in particular a heat-shrinkable material, bonded and / or welded in particular against the bottom of the packaging or against its sidewalls have been proposed in the art.

  It has also been proposed to equip packaging made of cardboard or corrugated cardboard with a plastic tubular bag or sheath, housed inside the packaging and glued to the bottom and or at least one sidewall thereof.

  The present invention aims to provide a package of this type equipped with an inner tubular sheath and able to be delivered to users with the sheath welded at one of its ends, this sheath having at its other end a closure means of the sheath after filling it.

  The invention also aims to provide a package of this type, which can be delivered pre-assembled and folded flat users.

  The invention finally aims to provide a packaging of this type, which can be used in particular for the disposal and disposal of hospital waste.

  For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, this packaging comprising side walls hinged together by parallel fold lines, one or more articulated bottom portions. on one or side walls by fold lines perpendicular to the preceding and adapted to be folded perpendicular to these walls to be locked in this position by means known in the art, optionally an internal partition disposed in the packaging between two opposite walls, so as to divide it into two separate compartments and, inside the packaging or a compartment thereof, a flexible tubular sheath made of plastics material secured by bonding at least one wall of the package, this sheath being closed by a weld line 2869591 2 one of its ends and open at its other end, this sheath being intended to receive the packaged products, this packaging being characterized in that the sheath comprises, close to its open end, a precut line or embrittlement substantially parallel to the free edge of this end and to detach from it the portion of sheath that separates it for use as a closure link after filling the sheath.

  Two embodiments of the invention will be described hereinafter by way of example, with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings. In these drawings: FIG. 1 is a plan view of a blank of corrugated cardboard, precut and reprocessed, equipped with a tubular sheath of plastic material welded at one end, this blank being intended for the production of a first form implementation of the invention, wherein the body of the packaging comprises a single compartment; Figure 2 is a partial plan view of the packaging pre-assembled and folded flat, from the blank of Figure 1, as delivered to users; Figure 3 is a partial perspective view of the packaging of Figure 2, after setting volume of the body; Figures 4, 5 and 6 are views similar to, respectively, Figures 1 to 3 illustrating another embodiment of the invention, wherein the body of the package comprises two compartments, one of which is equipped with a plastic sheath.

  The packaging shown in Figures 1 to 3 comprises a body 1 of corrugated cardboard, inside which is glued a flexible tubular sheath 2 of plastic.

  The body 1 is here an American box and it comprises two rectangular walls 3, 4, of large dimensions, on which are articulated by parallel fold lines two rectangular walls 5, 6 of smaller dimensions, which, in use position of the packaging are perpendicular to the walls 3, 4. A strip 7, adjoining the wall 3 by a folding line parallel to the preceding is laminated against the inner face of the wall 6, which allows to fold the flat body 1 preassembled, as shown in Figure 2.

  Rectangular shutters 8a-1a and 8b-1b are articulated by fold lines perpendicular to the preceding ones on the walls 3-6, so that they can be erected perpendicularly to these walls and form, in known manner, internal flaps. Externals can be assembled together in a manner known in the art.

  The body 1 of the package could of course be of any other type.

  The flexible tubular sheath 2 is adhered by two parallel glue lines 12, 13 against the inner face of the adjacent walls 4, 5.

  This sheath is closed at one of its ends by a weld line 14 disposed in the vicinity of the flaps 8b-1 lb constituting the bottom of the body 1, while its other end is open and has near the free edge of this end. a line of initiation of rupture or embrittlement parallel to this edge.

  As shown in FIG. 2, the pre-assembled packaging is delivered folded flat to the users, with the sheath 2 housed inside.

  It is thus possible to separate from the remainder of the sheath 2 the end portion 16 thereof limited by the line 15 of rupture or embrittlement primers, and to use this part 16 as a link to close the sheath after filling thereof.

  So that this part has the form of a narrow band easily usable as a link, a second precut line 17, parallel to the line 16, can be disposed on the other side of the weld line 15, with respect to the line 16.

  In the embodiment illustrated in Figures 4, 5 and 6, the packaging comprises, as before, a corrugated cardboard body 21, inside which is glued a flexible tubular sheath 22 made of plastic.

  The body 21 also has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, but it is internally divided by a partition 23, parallel to two rectangular small side walls, 24 and 25, in two separate compartments, only one of which is equipped with the sheath 22.

  The walls 24 and 25 are articulated by parallel fold lines along two parallel longitudinal sides of a rectangular wall 26 of larger dimensions and are straightened perpendicularly to this wall.

  On the wall 24 is articulated by a fold line parallel to the preceding a panel 27a constituting a part of a second 2869591 4 rectangular wall of large dimensions, parallel to the wall 26 and of the same dimensions as the latter, while on the wall 25 is articulated by a fold line parallel to the preceding a strip 27b, which is folded against the portion 27a and against the bonded against the outer face thereof to form with it the second wall of larger dimensions.

  A rectangular panel 28, articulated by a folding line parallel to the preceding ones on the part portion 27a disposed beneath the band 27b, is folded towards the inside of the package, parallel to the walls 24 and 25, to form an internal partition, and a strip 29, hinged to this partition 28 by a fold line parallel to the previous ones, is glued against the inner face of the wall 26.

  The partition 28 thus divides the internal volume of the body 21 into two compartments, one of large dimensions, 30, in which is housed the sheath 22, which here is glued against the faces of the walls 24 and 26, of the part 27a and the partition 28 facing inwardly of this compartment, while the second compartment 31, of smaller dimensions, is empty.

  To close the body 21, a flap 32, articulated at each end of the wall 26 by a fold line perpendicular to the preceding, is folded perpendicularly to the wall 26, and a strip 33, hinged to the flap, is engaged to the inside the body 21, against the outer face of the wall portion 27a. To lock the package in the closed position, tabs 34, adjoining the wall portion 27a and folded perpendicularly thereto, are engaged in a cutting line 35, formed in a corresponding position in the middle portion of the fold line by which strips 33 are articulated on the flaps 32.

  Any other method of closing and locking the package could naturally be used without departing from the scope of the invention.

  As in the embodiment described with reference to Figures 1 to 3, the sheath 22 is closed at one of its ends by a transverse weld line 36, while its other end is open and has, near the free edge from this end and parallel thereto, a line 37 of rupture or embrittlement primers, which makes it possible to separate the end portion 38 to make a link able to be tied around the sheath after filling the latter. this.

  The invention thus provides a particularly simple and easy to implement for opening on the site of use a tubular sheath forming bag, closed by a weld at one of its ends and disposed inside a package in a semi-rigid material which it is integral, and to close the sheath at its other end after filling thereof.

  The packaging according to the invention is particularly well suited for use for the disposal of hospital waste, for which it is important to be able to close the sheath without coming into contact with its contents, and, in the case where it comprises two compartments, one of which has no sheath, the latter can be used to store certain hospital waste such as syringes.

Claims (3)

  1. Packaging made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, this packaging comprising side walls (3-6) hinged together by parallel fold lines, one or more bottom portions (8b-1b) ) articulated on one or the side walls (3-6) by folding lines perpendicular to the preceding and adapted to be folded perpendicular to these walls to be locked in this position by means known in the art, optionally an internal partition disposed in the packaging between two opposite walls, so as to divide it into two separate compartments and, inside the packaging or a compartment thereof, a flexible tubular sheath (2) of plastic material secured by gluing with least one wall of the packaging, this sheath being closed by a first weld line (14) at one of its ends and open at its other end, this sheath being intended to receive the packaged products, this packaging being characterized in that, the sheath comprises, near its open end, a line (15) pre-cut or embrittlement substantially parallel to the free edge of this end and to detach from that the portion of sheath (16) separating it for use as a closing link after filling the sheath.   2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises two compartments (30, 31) separated by an inner partition (28) parallel to two opposite walls (24, 25), only one of these compartments being equipped with a sheath (22) of a flexible plastic material.   3. Use of a packaging according to one of claims 1 and 2 for the transport of hospital waste.
