Abstract

MOTOR VEHICLE WITH PANORAMIC OPENING ROOF

  The present invention relates to a motor vehicle equipped with a panoramic sunroof, that is to say a set of stackable panels that are able to cover a large opening formed in the upper part of the body.

  It should be noted that an opening extending longitudinally between the top of the windshield and the rear window, and extending transversely between the two upper lateral uprights of the sides of the body, advantageously allows to adopt a sunroof of maximum size.

  Be that as it may, this type of sunroof is generally composed of several rigid panels, at least most of which are mounted movable in displacement relative to the opening.   The fact that the sunroof panels are not necessarily all mounted mobile moving, simply means that the sunroof can also include a fixed panel. The existence of a stack of panels close to their deployment area, for example under the rear part of the roof, also reduces the effective opening of the sunroof.

  In the second case, the presence of panels stacked on the outside of the vehicle turns out to be particularly disadvantageous from an aerodynamic point of view. As before, the external storage of the panels in the immediate vicinity of their deployment zone, for example above the rear part of the roof, is also able to significantly reduce the dimensions of the effective opening of the sunroof.

  Also the technical problem to be solved by the object of the present invention is to propose a motor vehicle with a sunroof comprising at least two stackable panels, at least one of which is mounted movably in displacement between a closed position. in which it is deployed continuously in the extension of each directly adjacent panel, and an open position in which it is stacked with the other panels, a motor vehicle that would avoid the problems of the state of the art in offering a sunroof whose effective opening area would be significantly increased, while maintaining its habitability and its ability to penetrate the air.

  The solution to the technical problem that is posed, according to the present invention, in that the superposed panels are able to be moved between the open position and a storage position in which they are housed inside the trunk of said automobile vehicle L The invention as thus defined has the advantage of giving the motor vehicle the ability to completely retract its sunroof. This feature maximizes the opening surface which then fully corresponds to the opening formed in the upper part of the body to receive said sunroof.

  The fact that the superimposed panels are stored in the trunk also advantageously Be-does not clutter the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, nor further deteriorate its aerodynamic performance; it being understood that the latter will in any case be lower compared to those obtained with the sunroof in the closed position.

  According to a presently preferred embodiment, the separating element 30 is mounted to move horizontally upwardly, until it is positioned close to the rear opening 20 (FIG. 6) in the folded position, in this case substantially parallel to the rear window 6.

  The assembly is also arranged so that in the deployed position, the separating element 30 extends above the panels 11, 12, 13 in the storage position. This characteristic advantageously makes it possible to hide the superposed panels 11, 12, 13 from the passenger compartment 7.

  According to Figures 6 to 10, the motor vehicle is provided with moving means 40 which are able to ensure the mobility of the superimposed panels 11, 12, 13 between the open position and the storage position.

  In this particular embodiment, the displacement means 40 are firstly able to lift the superposed panels 11, 12, 13 with respect to the upper part of the bodywork 3 (FIGS. 6 and 7).
