Abstract

The roller shutter housing (3) has a jamb (1) with its lower edge covered by separate reinforcing (6) and trim (7) extrusions for at least part of its length. Description

The invention relates to a jamb, as well as a roller shutter box, of which

  at least one of the longitudinal walls consists of such a jamb. More generally, it can be used to constitute all or part of a structural element having an area

  concealed in a frame and another visible, such as, for example, a beam.

  Currently, in the building sector, to protect openings provided in construction, in particular various

blinds, grilles or roller shutters.

  To this end, rolling shutter boxes are known having side walls between which a reservation is defined to accommodate the shutter. These side walls constitute legs by the end of which the trunk is at least partially in contact with the walls of the construction defining the opening, intended to be closed by the flap

rolling.

  In order to reinforce the jambs, these are provided at the level

  edge in contact with the construction of a metal reinforcement profile.

  A disadvantage of such reinforcing profiles is that it is necessary to paint them to improve their appearance in the area or areas where

they are visible.

  To date, it is also known to use these reinforcing profiles to stop the coating externally covering the jamb. For this, said reinforcing profiles are extended at the bottom to define a

support surface for plaster.

  However, at the lateral edges of the opening, the coating must not be stopped and said extensions of such profiles constitute a gene. They must therefore be removed, which complicates the installation of the safe. If left behind, they cause

coating cracks.

  The object of the present invention is to provide a leg provided with a lining which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and allows easier installation of the structural element of which said leg constitutes a

  part, in particular by avoiding having to resort to painting it.

  Another object of the present invention is to provide a jamb provided with a lining which makes it possible to stop the coating intended to cover it while limiting the risks of the appearance of cracks. Another object of the present invention is to provide a jamb provided with a lining which allows a better hold of the coating.

  The invention relates to a jamb. By "jamb" is meant any part of a structural element such as, in particular, a trunk, beam or other, or any structural element intended to be embedded in a construction 50, over part of its length, to support, alone or not, at least said structure, the other part of the leg being intended to

  remain visible, at least partially.

  As illustrated in Figure 1, the leg 1 according to the invention consists of a body 2, possibly in one piece with the structural element 3 of which the leg 1 can be part.   to the constraints of the jamb 1 to avoid its deterioration.

  As illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, said means 10 for stopping the coating consist, for example, of a lateral extension 16, in particular in the mass, of said covering profile 7, provided covering said

  reinforcement section 6 on one of its faces 17.

  Said extension 16 has, for example, a groove 18, distant from its free edge 19, capable of allowing or participating in the attachment of said covering profile 7 to said reinforcing profile 6 by cooperation with one or more protuberances 20 provided on said reinforcing profile 6.
