The present invention relates to a traction kite.
Le cerf-volant de traction Sirocco qui peut êre ausi appelé aile de traction ou voile de traction aérienne, se présente comme une sorte de petit parapente (voir planche de photos n01 et 2 > destiné à éxécuter des figures aériennes entre les mains d'un pilote situé au sol ou sur un mobile. La traction exercée étant variable selon la surface de l'aile on peut t'utiliser soit pour réaliser des exercices acrobatiques à caractère sportif, soit pour tracter un mobile au sol ou sur l'eau. Le domaine d'utilisation est principalement le loisir et concerne le cerf-volant de sport , le buggy ,la planche à voile, le surf, le wakeboard le ski nautique ,le surf des neiges , le patin à glace, le skateboard ...etc . Des applications sont également possibles dans des domaines plus utilitaires ,embarcations de survie en mer ,antennes aériennes en mer ,ou tout autre application nécessitant un cerf- volant tractant ,et tres maneuvrable. Les cerf-volants de traction se répartissent en 3 grandes categories :les cerf-volanb delta traditionnels ,les cerf-volant de type parapente à caissons les cerf-volants de type parapente sans caissons. L'aile Sirocco appartient à cette derniere catégorie.
les cerf-volants delta traditionnels sont des cerf-volants en toile de spinaker ou de
parapente (tissus polyamide ou polyester) munis d'armatures en fibre de carbone .llls sont pilotés par 2 lignes en tresse de polyétbiléne à haute ténacité. Ceux utilisés pour la traction ont une envergure de 3 à 5 mètres contre ins à 2m 60 pour les cerf-volants de loisir en généraL
Mais les cerf-volants de type parapente sont beaucoup plus interessants pour la traction et le cerf-volant utilisant la technique des caissons autogonflabes par le courant d'air sont les plus répandus . n s'agit d'un petit parapente de 2 a 10 m2 ou I 'aile est rendue rigide et adopte un profil d'aile épaisse grâce à des caissons ouverts à leur extémité avant située sur le bord d'attaque .Ceux -ci se gonflent sous l'effet du vent qui s'y engouffre. Un réseau de suspentes permet de répartir la traction sur un grande partie de la surface de l'aile et sont ramifiées en 2 points auxquels s'attachent les 2 lignes de traction.The state of the art is as follows today:

Ces 4 lignes de pilotage sont accrochées à t poignées ,chaque poignée recevant un ligne de traction et une ligne de frein. Le cerfvolant est piloté selon des principes analogues à ceux des parapentes. Pour virer à droite on tire sur la poignée de droite en avancant la poignée gauche. On accentue le virage en serrant le frein droit et en relâchant le frein gauche. L'inconvénient de ce type de cerfvolant est l'avachissement de la structure lorsque le vent mollit et ne gonfle plus les caissons assez pour les raidir. D'autre part ils ne peuvent pas redécoller s'ils tombent à l'eau. Enfin leur coût est assez élevé en raison de la complexité de la couture et du bridage des suspentes.La voile étant molle et sans armature les suspentes sont accrochées directement à la toile Afin que la traction soit suffisamment répartie pour ne pas déformer la toile ponctuellement les brides doivent être nombreuses. Ces modèles coûtent de 2000 à 5000 F. et sont trés utilisés pour la traction des buggy ( petit tricycle orienté avec les pieds a l'aide d' un palonnier faisant tourner la roue avant ) ou pour le pilotage de loisir au sol.A simpler network of lines start from the trailing edge and branch into 2 lines to which the 2 brake lines are attached. Le troisieme modèle de cette catégorie étant l'aile Sirocco qui a recu le nom de Spinwing. La Spoon avait résolu le problème de la rigidité de la structure au moyen d'un bord d'attaque gonflable et de lattes longitudinales en fibre de verre. La Wipika ,antérieure à la précedente ,utilise une armature gonflable aussi bien pour le bord d'attaque que pour les armatures longitudinales. Le système de bridage de la Spoon ne comporte pas de réseau de suspentes ,ce qui constitue à notre avis un désavantage ,en donnant à la toile un profil transversal creux puisque aucune bride ne vient s'encrer sur la toile pour la rendre plus plate. La Wipika ,que nous n'avons jamais vue, ne comporte pas de réseau de suspentes ,selon la revendication n01 de son brevet
Ces voiles sont pilotées en 2 lignes accrochées aux 2 extrémités de l'aile ce qui donne à notre avis une réponse moins efficace en virage qu'avec 4 lignes ou le rayon de virage est plus serré ce qui permet une maneuvrabilité plus grande.The Spoon's clamping system does not have a network of lines, which in our opinion constitutes a disadvantage, by giving the canvas a hollow transverse profile since no flange is anchored on the canvas to make it flatter. These sails are piloted in 2 lines attached to the 2 ends of the wing which gives in our opinion a less effective response when cornering than with 4 lines where the turning radius is tighter which allows a greater maneuverability.
La solution technique de l'aile Sirocco est la suivante:
L'aile Sirocco dénommée Spinwing a tenu compte des avantages et des faiblesses de ses prédecesseurs C est une aile sans caissons pour diminuer le cout de fabrication, munie d'une vessie gonflable dans le bord d'attaque ( FIG. 1 et F1G3 ) et de lattes longitudinales en fibre de verre. Elle comporte des suspentes ,ce que ne comportait aucune aile sans caissons et elle est pilotée en 4 lignes . (FIG.4)
La Spinwing est réalisée en 10 à 12 panneaux de toile de parapente mylarisée DE 50 GR) M2. Chaque panneau est cousu à son voisin selon un profil de couture donnant à la voile les courbes longitudinales assurant le meilleur rendement aérodynamique. Un fourreau en dacron sépare chaque panneau et est destiné à recevoir une armature en fibre époxy torsadée de 3 mm de section.The technical solution for the Sirocco wing is as follows:

A dacron sheath separates each panel and is intended to receive a twisted epoxy fiber reinforcement with a section of 3 mm.
Le bord d'attaque est constitué par un fourreau fabriqué dans la même toile de spi ( FIG.1 ) qui comporte une ouverture destinée à enfiler une vessie (FIG 3).L'ouverture se ferme par un rabat à bande de velcro. La vessie est fabriquée en tissus de polyuréthane soudé. Cette matiere ,plus souple que le PVC ,évite à la vessie de se déformer en l'air. La vessie est amovible et peut être changée ou réparée en cas de crevaison . Le rôle de cette vessie est d'assurer la rigidité transversale de l'aile, de donner au bord d'attaque un profil d'aile qui se prolonge sur l'extrados et crée un effet de sustentation de la même maniere que sur une voile à mat profilé. Enfin elle sert de flotteur en cas de chute dans l'eau. The leading edge consists of a sheath made of the same spinnaker fabric (FIG.1) which has an opening for threading a bladder (FIG 3). Les suspentes sont contituées par des brides en V attachée en 2 ou plusieurs points de chaque latte ,les pointes de tous les V étants reliées par une bride transversale renvoyant la traction aux deux lignes d'extrémités. ( FIG.2 )Les brides de freins sont accrochées en 3 points du bord de fuite et convergent vers deux brides auxquelles sont reliées les 2 lignes de frein.
