Abstract

The weatherboard cladding consists of solid or plywood boards (1') positioned horizontally and fastened to supports (4). The lower edge of each board is thicker than its upper edge, and has a mortise which fits over a tenon (31) along one side of the board below, concealing its fastenings (5), e.g. nails or screws, with an outer rib (22) of increased depth, shaped to shed rainwater. The timber used for the boards is high-temperature treated.
