Abstract

The sealing ring (35) which fits sealingly against the end area of the inner bearing ring (17) has a resilient sealing lip (39) which partially covers the sealing face (45) of the inner ring (17). The angle between the sealing face and sealing lip is pref. less than 90 deg. The sealing element can be vulcanised onto a support body (37) which fits into the inner bore of the inner ring. The sealing face can run parallel, at right angles, at an angle or curved to the longitudinal axis of the bearing. The support body can have excess elastomer from the sealing ring to form a seal opposite the outer ring (15). USE/ADVANTAGE - Bearing for vehicle friction clutch. Better sealing action allowing for mfr. tolerances and preventing escape of lubricant from bearing and penetration of foreign bodies into bearing.
