Abstract

The invention relates to a vertebral immobilisation corset comprising a shaped plate having two ends (9) defining a space for passage around the trunk of a patient and means for applying and holding the corset in position around the trunk, joining these two ends. According to the invention, the plate is monobloc and comprises a central band (1) applied onto the back of the patient and two wings (3), which connect with the central band and are arranged on either side thereof, the average height (H3) of the wings (3) being less than 0.6 times the height (H1) of the central band (1). One application is the rapid production of effective and inexpensive corsets.

Description

L'invention est relative a un corset d'immobilisation vertébrale. A ce jour, un tel corset est réalisé à partir d'une armature métallique "habillee" d'un revêtement matelassé. Il doit évidemment être adapté à la morphologie de chaque patient, d'où la necessité de prévoir plusieurs prises de mesures et essayages, et une réalisation dans l'atelier du fabricant. Le résultat de cet état de faits est un délai relativement grand avant la mise du corset à disposition du patient, et un coût également important.
