Abstract

L'invention propose une machine à meuler et à biseauter les verres ophtalmiques, du type comprenant un chariot mobile en translation et en oscillation parallèlement et perpendiculairement par rapport à un arbre portant des meules à détourer (4) et à biseauter et un palpeur (7) pour mesurer la distance entre le plan tangent au pôle de la face convexe du verre et le bord de la face et pour mesurer la valeur qui correspond à l'épaisseur de la tranche (12) du verre (3), caractérisée en ce que le palpeur (7) a une surface (8) dont la courbure est identique à celle de la meule et qui comporte une matrice d'éléments de détection qui coopèrent avec la tranche (12) du verre et dont chacun est relié à une portion correspondante d'un capteur (14) à laquelle il transmet un signal représentatif du passage d'une partie de la tranche (12) du verre en regard de l'élément de détection correspondant.
