Abstract

Package made of cardboard intended for the transportation of flower pots and similar items which consists of an interlocking bottom formed from flaps (5, 6, 8, 9) extended at its top along a folding line (11) by four rectangular base sections (1, 2, 3, 4), characterised in that the base sections (1 and 3) are extended, at their tops, by laterally cut-away surfaces (18, 19), which are themselves extended by flaps (20, 22) forming, after folding, a top provided with cut-outs (25, 26) forming handles whilst the base section (4) is extended, by a surface forming a section (215) pierced at its centre with a circular cut-away (216) provided with tabs (216a, 216b, 216c, 216d) intended to lock the pot in the circular cut-away (216) whilst, finally, a tab (115) serves to hold, by any suitable means, the surface (215) parallel with the bottom of the package.

Description

 The transport of flowerpots or flowers placed in a basket or similar container is difficult because it is bulky, and cannot be done in a normal packaging completely closed because the small volume, delimited by the packaging, very quickly causes an effect. harmful on the flowers which fade and therefore a very bad presentation when they arrive at destination.

 We have already tried to use more or less perforated packaging but none of the packaging has been satisfactory because they are difficult to handle, especially for people transporting flower pots or bouquets placed in a pot, by means such as public transport or even a private vehicle.

 The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by creating a packaging which allows easy transport of the bulky and fragile product that is a potted plant or a potted bouquet or similar product.

 In addition, the florists noted that their establishment in the city center created difficulties since private vehicles were very far from the parking areas.

 Finally, the elderly, who are very numerous customers, are very embarrassed and even sometimes disabled by the transport of these products, even if they are not far from their home.

 The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by creating a packaging which provides the necessary stability and cleanliness during the transpnrt of the plant in question and, also in the shopping cart, between the point of sale and the vehicle. than in the vehicle.

 According to the invention. the cardboard packaging intended for the transport of flower pots and the like, which consists of a nestable bottom composed of flaps extended at its upper part along a fold line by four rectangular lower parts, is characterized in that the lower parts are extended at their upper parts by laterally hollowed surfaces, themselves extended by flaps forming, after folding, a top provided with cutouts forming handles while the lower part is extended, by a surface forming part pierced in its center, a circular recess provided with tabs intended to block, in the circular recess, the pot, while, finally, a tab serves to hold the surface by any suitable means parallel to the bottom of the package.

 Various other characteristics of the invention will also emerge from the detailed description which follows.

 An embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of nonlimiting example, in the accompanying drawings.

 In fig. 1, there is shown, in plan, the blank of the packaging allowing easy transport of a potted plant, bouquets in pots or the like, this blank first comprising four rectangular lower parts 1, 2. 3 4. part 1 being extended at its lower part by a flap 5. part 2 by a flap 6 having a small flap 7 on its left then.

 Finally, it should be noted that the lower part 4 has an extension 12 intended to form a self-adhesive tab when after folding along the fold lines 13, 14, 15 and 16, the packaging is erected vertically on its bottom as shown in fig 2.

 In addition, the lower part 4 is extended upwards by a surface 215 pierced in its center with a circular recess 216 comprising tabs 216a, 216b, 216c, 216d intended to be slightly folded down along the fold lines. 116 to correctly block the flower pot or the flower bouquet pot in the bottom of the packaging.

 I1 should be noted that the flaps 20 and 22 have at their center two cutouts 25 for the flap 20, and 26 for the flap 22. the cutouts 25 having flaps 25a, 25b forming a handle because the cutouts 25, 26, in overlapping (see fig. 2), constitute the handle entries for the transport of known products from the packaging.

 Finally, two end flaps 28, 29 serve to fix the flaps 20, 22 one on the other as can be seen in FIG. 2.

 The entire package is cut by any suitable means from a sheet of cardboard, usually single or double double corrugated cardboard.

 The inner face of the packaging and especially in its lower part can be coated with an impermeable moisture-resistant product while the outer faces of the packaging can be coated in a manner known per se with all advertising information, of use or other.

 In general, the packaging is strong enough to be able to be palletized after having received the product to be packaged and it is also possible, because of the vertical resistance of this packaging, to stack several layers of these on the same pallet.

 Of course, the packaging constituting the cartons as well as the products used for the waterproofing of these cartons are bio-degradable or recoverable products.
