Abstract
Utilisation d'un gel retardé contenant en outre un biopolymère. Application au colmatage de formations dans lesquelles se produit une perte totale de fluide.
Description
1. Le brevet principal décrit un procédé pour colmater et/ou consolider
une formation géologique perméable notamment traversée par un puits de forage, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes a) introduction dans la formation d'une composition de gel surretardé comprenant un-composé gélifiable et au moins un durcisseur, dont le temps de prise est nettement supérieur au temps de positionnement convenable de la composition, de façon à ce que celle-ci envahisse la formation depuis le puits et sur une distance notable; b) injection dans le puits, derrière un bouchon mécanique ou de fluide, d'un agent gélifiant à action rapide choisi de façon à provoquer la gélification instantanée de la partie de la composition de gel surretardé se trouvant au voisinage immédiat de l'interface de la zone à traiter et du puits de forage, ce qui stoppe le déplacement de la composition de gel surretardé vers
l'intérieur de la formation.
L'enseignement de ce -brevet principal no 86-16528 déposé le 25 novembre 1986 est entièrement incorporé ici pour référence et l'homme de métier pourra s'y reporter, et en particulier aux compositions et méthodes décrites pages 3 à 7 de ce document
86-16528.
La présente addition propose une variante de l'invention qui trouve une application spécifique pour résoudre le problème des
pertes totales de fluide durant le forage.
Ce problème apparait notamment en présence, non plus de pores ou canaux ("channels") de petites dimensions, mais en présence de
fractures ou vides ("voids") plus importants.
Le produit de traitement est alors perdu horizontalement et il n'éxiste plus aucune chance de colmater la formation responsable
de la perte sur une hauteur notable.
Selon la variante de l'invention applicable à ce cas, on incorporera dans les fluide de traitement de petites quantités de biopolymères capables de résister aux PH acides et basiques, en températures, et sous cisaillement. On viscosifie ainsi le fluide et on peut encore l'améliorer en lui incorporant des matières connues pour leur effet sur la perte de fluide ("lost circulation materials") telles que coques de noix, d'abricots, kolite, gilsonite, fragments de film de "cellophane". On étend ainsi notablement le champ d'application de l'invention aux formations
karstiques et "vugulaires" ("vugular">.
Dans l'art antérieur, la seule solution connue aux problèmes de pertes horizontales totales était en fait un expédient consistant à ne colmater que par étapes de 50 cm à 1 m de formation (en hauteur). Cet expédient non seulement est très peu économique mais de plus n'est même pas toujours utilisable, lorsque la hauteur de
formation à traiter est notable.
L'invention, par la modification du profil rhéologique et éventuellement la charge du fluide en agents colmatants ("bridging agents") permet selon la variante indiquer de colmater des hauteurs importantes de formation même dans le cas de pertes
totales, ce qui représente un avantage évident.
Des exemples convenables de biopolymères utilisables sont, à titre non limitatif, la gomme de anthane, le Scleroglucane, et le polymère obtenu par la fermentation bactérienne de Azotobacter Indicus (notamment "BIOZAN" de la société KELCO). On obtiendra une viscosification adéquate de la solution aqueuse de résine amino-plaste/silicate de sodium en utilisant une concentration en biopolymère d'environ 2 à 10 g/l d'eau fraiche (0,016 à 0,083 lbs/gal env.) Dans le cas ou des matériaux contre la perte de circulation sont
ajoutés, la proportion d'agent viscosifiant pourra etre réduite.
La quantité adéquate d'agent viscosifiant sera déterminée par l'application des équations de la mécanique des fluides bien
connues de l'homme du métier.

On observe une brutale augmentation de viscosité, qui correspond à GT. On contrôle dans cet essai la température à +/- 1
deg C avec un bain thermostatique à recirculation.
Les caractéristiques de rhéologie sont déterminées selon la norme API spec. 10 pour laitiers de ciment après 20 min. d'agitation
dans un consistomètre atmosphérique à la température d'essai.

Claims (3)
1. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications i à 9 du
brevet principal caractérisé en ce que l'on incorpore dans le fluide de traitement de petites quantités d'un biopolym&re capable de résister aux PH acides et basiques, en température,
et sous cisaillement.
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce que ledit fluide comporte une gomme xanthane, du scleroglucane, ou le polymère résultant de la fermentation de Azotobacter Indicus, à
raison d'environ 2 à 10 g/litre d'eau.
3. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2 caractérisé en ce que ledit fluide comporte en outre des matériaux tels que coques de
noix, d'abricots, kolite, gilsonite, fragments de "Cellophane".
