Abstract

The invention relates to a package of the pallet box type whose pallet 2 comprises support elements 3 such as foot pieces or similar. According to the invention, the upper face of this package has added parts or elements 10 protruding with respect to the said face by a distance x greater than that y which separates the lower face of the said pallet 2 from the base of the said support elements 3, the said parts or the said elements 10 having a shape and arrangement such that a pallet 2 of a similar package may be supported on them in the stacked position.

Description

 Stackable packaging type.

 The present invention relates to packaging of the so-called pallet box type, which is suitable for stacking.

 It is known that the term "box-pallet" designates packages made of a semi-rigid material such as corrugated cardboard, which rest on a pallet, of which they are generally integral.

 It is thus possible to move them easily using trolleys or forklift devices, without having to change them on independent pallets.

 In the case where the pallets include legs, these packages are however difficult to stack, because the legs exert excessive compression on the upper part of the package on which they rest.

 The present invention aims to remedy this drawback by proposing a stackable box pallet whose legs or the like do not bear, in the stacking position, on the similar packaging which is immediately below them.

The invention, in a preferred embodiment, also aims to provide a stackable pallet box of this type, which can easily be moved in the stores by the employees without having recourse to the fork carts usually used, but by rolling them on casters with which the pallet is fitted0
As a consequence, the invention relates to a packaging of the pallet box type, the pallet of which includes supporting elements such as legs or the like, this arrangement being characterized in that its upper face has protruding parts or added elements relative to said face by a distance greater than that which separates the lower face of said pallet from the base of said support elements, said parts or said elements having a shape and an arrangement such that a pallet of similar packaging can lean on them in the stacking position.

 It is understood that, since the projecting elements of such a packaging protrude from the upper face of the latter by a distance greater than that which separates the pallet from the base of the support elements, the latter, during stacking, do not will not be in contact with the upper side of the immediately lower package. On the contrary, the pallets of the different packaging will rest on said protruding elements of the packaging located augdassous in the stack, without thus exerting abnormal forces on these packaging.

 In a particularly advantageous form of implementation of the invention, the support elements of the pallet of each package will consist of rollers. Indeed, these will allow easy movement of the packaging with a view to its installation in the stores, without however opposing the stacking of the packaging, during its storage or transport.

 The projecting members of the packaging may form an integral part of it, possibly with reinforcing members, or 8trie elements attached to the packaging and fixed on it, for example by gluing or stapling.

 Advantageously, the projecting members are made up of attached elements or parts of the packaging forming sheaths, of rectangular or square section, in which are engaged longitudinal reinforcing elements of corresponding section, made of wood, expanded plastic material or any other den rigid or semi-rigid material. In the frequent case where the upper part of the packaging comprises internal flaps or flaps, adjoining two parallel walls and folded down perpendicularly to them, and external flaps or flaps, adjoining two other parallel walls and folded perpendicularly to the latter against the internal flaps, said sleeves may be adjoining the external face of the internal flaps, over a part of the length of these, while the reinforcing elements of said sleeves will slacken along the entire length of said flaps , that is to say along the entire base of the adjoining wall, so as to protrude from the sleeves above the external flaps and to lock them in the folded position.

 Preferably, the packaging will comprise at its lower part, along its four edges, four projecting parts forming dihedrons whose faces will extend the corresponding walls, said dihedrons coming to fit on the four corresponding angles of the pallet, by locking thus the packaging on the pallet without it being necessary to make it rigidly integral with the latter. In addition to the fact that the pallet box will thus be easier to produce, it will be possible to easily recover the pallet, after using the packaging, which is not possible for most pallet boxes currently on the market. below, the dihedral-shaped parts of the base of the packaging will not prevent the lower part from being produced, like the upper part, using flaps adjoining the adjacent walls and folded down perpendicular to them. this.

 The packaging according to the invention shown in the drawings is a pallet box comprising a packaging body 1 made of corrugated cardboard, constituting the packaging proper, and a pallet 2 fitted with rollers 3, on which this packaging body rests. .

This has a general parallelepiped shape and includes
- On the one hand, two longitudinal walls 4, parallel to each other, on which are articulated by fold lines, at their lower part and at their upper part, flaps, respectively 5 and 6, which are folded perpendicularly to.

- On the other hand, two transverse walls 7 parallel to each other, on which are articulated by fold lines, at their lower part and at their upper part, flaps such as 8, which are folded perpendicular to the walls 7 to form the internal parts of the bottom and the upper part of the packaging.

 The lower flaps 5 and 8 have a T-shape such that they leave parts 4a, 7a, which extend the walls 4 to 7 downwards and define with a vertical ltarete a dihedral, which covers the corresponding corner of the pallet 2, the latter thus being trapped in the packaging body, without it being necessary to make it integral with this body by gluing or stapling.

 On the external face of the internal flaps 8 is fixed, by gluing or stapling, a sheath 10, for example of corrugated cardboard, with square or rectangular section, in which is engaged a longitudinal reinforcing element 11, of corresponding section, in a material rigid or semi-rigid, for example in expanded polystyrene. The sleeves 10 are arranged in the middle part of the flaps 8, for example in the vicinity of the fold line by which these are articulated on the walls 7, but they only extend over part of the length of these flaps 8, so as to be able to fold down the external flaps 6, which for this purpose have an appropriate T-profile. On the contrary, the reinforcing elements 11 preferably extend along substantially the entire length of the flaps 8, so as to protrude at the two ends of the sleeves 10 outside of them and thus locking the flaps 6 in the folded position.

 The transverse dimension x of the sleeves 10 perpendicular to the flaps 8 is greater than the distance y separating the lower face of the pallet 2 from the lower part of the rollers 3. As a result, when the pallet boxes are stacked, each pallet box is supported on the sleeves 10 of the packaging of the immediately lower stack, without the rollers 3 coming into contact with the flaps 6. Any risk of slipping or rolling of the rollers is thus eliminated and it is therefore easy to stack the pallet boxes as other types of packaging.

 To open the packages, it suffices to remove the reinforcing elements 11 from the sheaths and, when the worn packaging body is empty, it is easy to separate it from the pallet for possible reuse thereof.

 The invention therefore provides a new type of box pallet, simple, easy to make and use, which has many advantages compared to the box pallets anteriorfnotanté that stackable beech.

kEVENDICATIONS  1.- Packaging of the pallet box type, the pallet (2) of which includes support elements (3) such as legs or the like, this packaging being characterized in that its upper face has parts or added elements (10) projecting from said face by a distance (x) greater than that (y) which separates the underside of said pallet (2) from the base of said support elements (3), said parts or said elements (10 ) having a shape and an arrangement such that a pallet (2) of a similar packaging can bear on them in the stacking position.  2.- Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the support elements of said pallet are constituted by rollers (3).  3.- Packaging according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the projecting parts (10) are an integral part of the packaging body.  4.- Packaging according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the projecting parts (10) are fixed to the body of the packaging.  5.- Packaging according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said projecting parts or elements comprise sleeves (10) with rectangular or square section capable of receiving reinforcing elements (11) longitudinal.  6. Packaging according to claim 5, the upper part of which comprises internal flaps, adjoining two parallel walls and folded down perpendicularly to the latter1 and external flaps adjoining to two other parallel walls and folded back perpendicularly thereto against the flaps internal, characterized in that said sleeves (10) are attached to the external face of said internal flaps (8), over a part of the length thereof, while the reinforcing elements (11) of said sleeves extend substantially over the entire length of said internal flaps (10) S so as to protrude above said external flaps and to lock them in the folded position.  7.- Packaging according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the packaging body (1) has at its base four projecting parts (4a, - 7a) forming dihedrons at the base of the corresponding edges of said body, of which they extend the corresponding walls (4, 7), said dihedrons coming to fit on the four angles of the pallet (2) thereby locking said body in position on said pallet.
