Abstract

Cardboard package which is simple to manufacture and use. The invention comprises a pre-cut and perfectly flat cardboard blank which the user only has to fold in order to obtain the volume of the package and its closure without gluing, stapling, or tying. This cardboard blank has the shape of the bottom 1 of the package, two of its opposite sides being prolonged by the panels 3 and 4, themselves prolonged by the panels 5 and 6 and the cut-out handles 7 and 8, the former forming, after folding, the sides of the package and the latter forming the half-lids. The other two sides are prolonged by the panels 11 and 12 carrying on their median a tab, such as 13 or 14, provided with an opening 18 which cooperates with the notches 19 and 20 located at each of the ends of the handles 7 and 8 which occupy the median of the cover, in order to shape the package and to lock it against the boss 15 and the nose 16 between which is located the end part 21 of each of the tabs 13 and 14. The invention may be used in particular for the packaging of pastries.

Description

PERFECT CARDBOARD PACKAGING
Cardboard packaging, either during their manufacture, or during their use and sometimes during these two stages, requires, for their assembly, operations of gluing, stapling or laying of collail or self-adhesive tape and sometimes simultaneously several of these devices, as well as links such as strings or ribbons.

 This makes their manufacture slow and expensive, as well as their use.

In addition, to make such packaging portable by the customer, independently of the closure links, certain known devices have a handle cut out in at least one flap of the upper part, the latter being held by the flaps orihogonauY of the same surface, through a slit through which said handle passes, furthermore locking dulhene makes said flaps
The latter device, if it offers the customer the advantage of having a means of gripping the packaging9, it has the disadvantage of requiring crossed flaps which double the surface of cardboard used in this part of the packaging. In addition, such packaging also requires the bonding of the cut side to form the desired volume.

 The improved cardboard packaging, object of the present invention, makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks while maintaining the advantage of allowing it to be grasped by means of the handle which it comprises of construction, and without requiring, or to the manufacture, neither in use, nor bonding, nor metal stapling, nor establishment of any link such as twine or ribbon, said improved packaging further requiring the minimum surface area of cardboard for its manufacture and eliminating any hand d 'work other than that of the cutting of the side from which it comes.

For this, the manufacture of said packaging consists of the saddle and the only cutting operation in a sheet of suitable cardboard with a single flank which simultaneously contains the traces of future folding, this manufacturing comprising no other operation, neither gluing, nor stapling, nor even no prior folding, said packaging being delivered to the user trader in cut board and premarked at the folding level.  As shown, the device which is the subject of the invention consists of the sheet of cardboard which has undergone a single cutting operation of its entire periphery and, at the same time, marking of the folding zones.

This cutting has a main part t which constitutes the bottom of the packaging and has the general shape thereof, here square for example. Each of these panels 11 and 12 carries in the middle of the side
opposite the fold line, one of the legs 13 and 14.

Each of the cut handles 7 and 8 has, near the sides 11 and 12 which are adjacent to each of their ends, on the one hand the boss 15 and on the other hand the spout 16, which form
together the ends of a notch 17 which has a concave curvilinear appearance between the boss 15 and the spout 16.

And each of the legs 13 and 14 carries a light 18 in the form of a spearhead, the base of which coincides with the fold line of the corresponding leg, which cooperates after folding with the notches
19 and 20 to ensure the closure of the packaging and its locking, which is carried out without any link, the assembly of the packaging itself having been carried out without any gluing or stapling.

 In fact, the device which is the subject of the invention, being thus constituted, it is understood that its manufacture will be simple since it will be summed up only by cutting the sidewall, according to FIG. 1, whatever the shape of the parallelogram desired for packaging definitive, the folding traces being carried out simultaneously. In order to give more security to this closure, according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the extreme zone 21 of each of the legs 13 and 14, beyond the strap 18, is of a length greater than the distance which separates the boss. 15 of the spout 16 which together form the end points of each notch 17, in which the said end 21 is housed when the legs 13 and 14 are folded back, when one of the notches 19 or 20 enters the lumen 18.

 Immediately after the penetration of this part 21 into the notch 17, its elasticity allows it to stretch between the boss 15 and the spout 16 which hold it, thus locking each of these legs which can no longer spontaneously emerge from the notch 17 which contains it, a real traction to be exerted on each of these tabs to release them from the notch 17 and thus release the notches 19 and 20, which causes the immediate opening of the packaging.

 It can then be seen that its opening thus carried out takes place without any blunt or other tool, and that it is total, the packaging immediately resuming its completely flat shape, which facilitates the removal of the goods that it contained, this which is particularly interesting when it contained a pastry for example.

 The device thus described may further comprise the complementary flaps 22 and 23 integral with the panels 9 and 10, according to FIG. 1, having with them the aim, after folding according to FIG. 2, to make the angles of the seal more rigid and more rigid. 'packaging.

 For the same purpose of strengthening these parts, each of the free ends of the sides 3 and 4 is slightly extended in X, so that the raised sides 3 and 4 each bear on the ends of the raised sides 11 and 12 also.

 Finally, the sides 11 and 12, which carry the locking tabs 13 and 14, have their median, which is perpendicular to the bottom 1, shorter than the height of their extreme sides parallel to said median, in order to create a double slope of the upper edge of the said sides, which has the result, by creating a reverse vault effect, of bringing the handles which are in the key of this vault, trapped in the lights 18, when the packaging is suspended from said handles.

 It is understood that the invention is not limited to the example which has been described, any variant considered to be equivalent cannot modify its scope.

 The device, object of the present invention, can be used for any light and essentially temporary packaging, such as pastry packaging, its final shape being able to be varied.
