Abstract

Special self-fastening tile having two continuous parallel hook noses (A, B), the lower one of which locks in place the upper hook of the tile, laid on the roof batten, which it covers. The benefit resides in the expensive elimination of nailing and of fastening using metal hooks.

SPECIAL SELF-HANGING TILES FOR CLADDING
Manufacture of special flat tiles for "Cladding" with two continuous parallel attachment noses A and B forming hooks (fig. 1), of which ltun, A at the upper part of the tile is at an acute angle both internally (a) and external (b), equal to internal angle (d) of the second hook B This hook A suspends the tile on the same batten whose cutting section is oblique in the upper part (fig. 2) facilitating this attachment.

This tile is retained there by the very fact of this hook fitted on this batten forming a hooking tooth; any other wooden or metal battensystem can be used provided that there is the same principle of attachment -example figure 2Bis-.

 The upper ends A of directly lower tiles C, according to FIG. 3, are automatically retained by the interior of the second hook B of the upper tiles D which cover them, forming a lock preventing them from lifting, therefore leaving the fastening strips, which gives the guarantee of a perfect holding of the cladding while enormously facilitating the installation pose of the assembly avoiding the tiresome nailing (proven consequence of a huge breakage of tiles) and on the other hand making it possible to avoid the installation of metal hooks, despite everything unsightly, oxidizable over time and expensive.

 These cladding tiles or any other product to be hung on battens can be manufactured with this claimed principle, forming the subject of the invention, in all acceptable widths and lengths, either in terracotta or in concrete or other material.

 They are nested with one another by sliding from top to bottom one on the other fig.3 by forming a monobloc assembly as indestructible as if they were posed with cement from where perfect security.

 This same type of tile can also be used with great economy and complete safety advantage for conventional tortures, also avoiding any nailing and the installation of unnecessary metal hooks'

 R E V E N D I C A T I O N  Self-hanging flat tiles for cladding characterized in that they have on the back two continuous or discontinuous parallel noses "A" and "B" forming hooks. The hook slidingly covers the hook "A" which is thus blocked.  The distance "E" between battens is equal to the distance of Angles "a" of the upper tile and "d" of the one directly below.  The top hook "A" has an acute angle, both internal "a" and external "b" whose external angle "b" is equal to the internal angle "d" of the lower hook "B", second hook parallel, forming an integral part of the product, which is intended to cover this upper hook "A" to block it, preventing it from rising so leaving the batten.  The installation stexecute by hooking hooks "An to battens" H ". The hooks "B" constantly superimposing the hooks "A"; all the tiles being immobilized thereby.  These hooks can be either pointed or of any other shape, provided that they have a satisfactory hooking and blocking power according to the principle of the invention.
