Abstract

The folding bunk-beds consists of a bottom (3) and a top (4) bed which can be folded up into a housing to occupy a minimum amount of space. Each lengthwise end of each bed (3,4) rests on a frame (1,2) which has a base. The two frame sections when joined form the housing. Part of the base of each frame (1,2) forms the rigid mattress base for the top bunk. The top bunk mattress base sections are fixed in place by two triangular cross-section support pieces, one of which has a groove into which slots a ridge on the other piece.
