Abstract
Frein à disque 1 comportant un cylindre 5 monté glissant sur un support 2 pour se déplacer parallèlement à l'axe de rotation du disque. Le cylindre 5 est fermé à une extrémité adjacente au disque. Un pont 10 massif, par exemple en acier forgé, relie le piston 7 à la partie extérieure du patin 15 par l'intermédiaire du pont 10. Les joints 8, 9 entre le piston 7 et le cylindre 5 sont isolés de la chaleur produite par les patins, et le pont 10 ne nécessite pas un usinage précis et peut être prévu pour donner la force maximum.
