Abstract

The spoked wheel has a central ring (1) and two crown shaped cheeks (2) on on either side. The ring has a cylindrical part outside and the cheeks have a thrust and centering zone with a cylindrical part of similar diameter to the other. The whole forms a nominally constant diameter seating for a tyre with vertical edges (22) to retain it. The two parts are joined by a weak part and the cheeks are fixed separately to the central ring by a flush headed screw (23) in the cheek.
