Abstract

Fibrous prod., partic. a hydrophilic component of a dental dressing or temporary filling etc. is claimed. The prod. is sterilisable, chemically and physically stable, rot-proof and formed of very short fibres, pref. 4 mm long. The prod. can be hydrophilic cotton fibres chopped down to lengths 4 mm. Alternatively the prod. can be cellulose wadding in the form of a pulp. Temporary fillings contg. the new prod. do not impede the action of high speed dental cutters rotating at 600,000 r.p.m.
