Abstract

A fibre blend which contains hard textile waste is prepared for open-end spinning on a roller-and-clearer card and a subsequent flat card. According to the invention, the roller-and-clearer card is connected to the flat card via a storage system. The storage system used is preferably a collecting shaft, which is connected to the roller-and-clearer card exit point via a pipeline having a suction slot for the roller-and-clearer-card web. The apparatus ensures thorough opening of the hard textile waste on the roller-and-clearer card and a constantly highly uniform supply of the material to the flat card.
