Abstract

L'invention concerne le contrôle non destructif des matériaux. Le procédé faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type comprenant l'application sur le produit 1 d'un revêtement indicateur contenant une substance de fond et une substance de contraste, et est caractérisé notamment en ce que la substance de contraste utilisée est une substance thermosensible changeant de couleur à une température déterminée, et en ce que le revêtement indicateur est appliqué sur le produit 1 à une température relativement basse, puis le produit est chauffé par induction à haute fréquence jusqu'à une température suffisante pour créer le gradient de température nécessaire à la transformation thermochimique de la substance de contraste et son changement de couleur aux endroits où le produit présente des défauts. L'invention peut être utilisée en particulier pour le contrôle de la qualité de la surface des demi-produits laminés à chaud, sans decalaminage de leur surface.
