Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une mousse plastique phénolique Le procédé suivant l'invention consiste à effectuer la polycondensation de phénols sur le formol avec moussage et durcissement simultanés en présence d'un agent moussant et d'un catalyseur acide ou basique. On utilise à titre de phénols la pyrocatéchine, l'hydroquinone, la résorcine, la méthyl-5 résorcine, des alcoyl-résorcines dérivées de schistes bitumineux, des phénols dérivés de schistes bitumineux ou des associations variées desdits phénols. On utilise la mousse phénolique obtenue comme matériau d'isolation thermique dans le batiment, les constructions navales, les constructions mécaniques, l'industrie chimique et dans les techniques du froid.
