Abstract

The marker buoy has a smooth double conical shape, the lower side ending in a cylindrical foot. The inside of the foot has a cylindrical collar (5) and a flange (6). The flange supports the cone of the buoy (7) which extends beyond the buoy (8). The buoy contains a float chamber (9) and is moored from the base so as to be able to tilt if knocked by an underwater object. The inside of the buoy may be fitted with a receiver or transmitter.
