Abstract
An offshore floating tower comprises cylindrical seawater deflector rings 13 located above a ring of buoyancy tanks 1 enclosing a pneumatic damper bell 7. It is ballasted at its lower end 8. Its external diameter is substantially constant. The cylindrical deflector rings 13 convert the horizontal thrust of the waves into a vertically upward movement F. <IMAGE>
