Abstract

The mast is connected to the step by means of the fork (4). The step consists of a wedge (1) which fits in a slot in the sail board. The step is fitted with two bushes which can be compressed to tighten the joint. The locking plate (5) is fitted beside the step and screwed into the board by the bolt (10) in the nut (8). The bolt has an eye (10a) and is held by a cord (11). The step (1) and locking plate (5) may be reversed.
