Abstract

A door frame of a screwed two piece timber construction utilises two members of a rebated 'L' section, the members combining on site to form a 'U' section housing the edges of the wall opening. Each member comprises previously glued and screwed head and post lengths, and the assembly is designed for installation after the walls have been completed. The members are provided with holes for the connecting screws, and the jointing faces may have a groove locating a floating tongue. One of the members may hace rectangular external rebates locating a door, and both may have shaped internal corners forming a cable-way.
