Abstract

The calliper brake is for a bicycle etc. having two jaws mounted one on a curved and one on a Y-shaped arm pivoting on a common axis in the plane of the wheel. Actuation is by cable working in a sheath with tubular ferrule passing through a bracket on one end of the Y-shaped arm. The bracket (9) is secured directly to the Y-shaped arm (2) by a bolt and nut the bracket having a screwed extension engaging in a tapped hole in the form, so that it is held in place while allowed to rotate.
