Abstract

Large documents such as maps or plans can be filed in standard loose leaf files by a special method of folding. The document is provided with a narrow flap along the left hand edge and extends over the upper half of this edge. This edge is punched to suit the dimensions of the file retaining rings. The document is then folded in zig-zag fashion along the parallel vertical lines etc. and then folded about the horizontal line. This method of folding enables the document to be unfolded without removing it from the file.
