Abstract

L'invention concerne un mécanisme hydraulique de direction assistée. Dans un tel mécanisme (formé d'un boîtier de direction comportant un cylindre d'asservissement), un piston à double action (dont la périphérie a la forme d'une crémaillère engrenant avec une barre de direction), un arbre de direction relié, par un tiroir de distributeur et une barre de torsion, à un arbre fileté creux et dont la rotation provoque un déplacement axial du piston), la goupille d'arrêt, destinée à limiter l'amplitude de la torsion du tiroir, est montée dans celui-ci et maintenue dans la chemise du distributeur. Une rupture de la barre de torsion n'empêche pas le fonctionnement (mécanique) de la direction. Application : véhicules routiers à moteur.
