Abstract

The equipment is adapted to the structure of a road vehicle to transport fowls. This can be to a killing and preparation centre or between raising installations. No handling or cages are involved. There are several horizontal levels, each of two joined up tunnels. Each tunnel has mechanism to transport the required number of fowls to each level. The tunnels are freely ventilated and have a smooth polyester floor, a circular loading door of 'non return' type. Chain drive is used. Once loaded, the fowls are kept separate from each other.
