Abstract

The inflatable section is designed to restore the original flat surface to a double bed where a hollow has developed in the middle. This section consists of several elongated pieces inserted between the mattress and the base. Each elongated piece (2, 3) is made of two sheets (1) welded together. Each piece (2, 3) is inflatable and has its own valve (4). The longest piece (2) is in the middle, and shorter inflatable pieces (3) on the sides. The volume and pressure of the air can be varied to suit the sleepers. Eyelets (5) in the inflatable section enable it to be fixed by cords to the bed base.
