Abstract

Wall insulation is applied by generating a foam in situ between the wall and sheets of cladding material supported at an appropriate distance from the wall and subsequently to form a surface layer bonded with the foam. The sheet may be covered externally with decorative tiles, wallpaper, wood veneer, etc. Arrangement avoids waste attributed to mfr. of prefabricated laminates of insulation and surface material, automatically compensates for variations in wall and surface alignment or planarity without mechanical trimming. Specifically the foam is polyurethane and the sheets are of plasterboard held in place by adjustable scaffolding until supported by the foam.
