Abstract

Element is of the type used with reverse flow pneumatic declogging. The strong permeable support is on the inside of the filtering layer, the gas to be filtered flowing into the packet or sleeve through its walls. The support is pref. a gauze formed of (non-)metallic fibres. The support and filtering layer may be both formed of woven materials interlaced or meshed together. Alternatively the filtering layer may be of fibres formed in situ, or a non-woven fabric. The support may be built up with an additional filtering layer on its other face.
