Abstract

The assembly comprises a roller conveyor for incoming parcels, which directs the parcels towards a turntable. The turntable has several work heads, each rotating a parcel to bring the label uppermost. The heads have two side arms fitted with pads, one arm moved along a slide by a motor and belt drive to accommodate different sized parcels. Clamping pressure is applied by an air cylinder on one pad, the head is elevated by a rack drive and the parcel rotated through quarter-turns for deposition on an outgoing conveyor.
