Abstract

Procédé de séparation isotopique utilisant des atomes dans l'état de Rydberg. On irradie un mélange isotopique moléculaire composé de molécules de type **1MXn et **2MXn , **1M et **2M étant deux variétés isotopiques de l'atome M par un faisceau de lumière laser monochromatique d'énergie h upsilon résonnante avec l'écart énergétique séparant deux niveaux de vibrations d'une variété isotopique de molécules ** 1MXn , caractérisé en ce que l'on fait interagir également les molécules ** 1MXn et **2MXn , avec les atomes d'un gaz neutre E sous forme M superactivée, dans l'état dit de Rydberg E**, pour transformer lesdites molécules en ions négatifs par captation des électrons libérés par les atomes de Rydberg selon les réactions :
